A New Beginning

Wow, has it really been over two years since I last posted something to my blog? I have no idea where that time has gone … well, actually – I do have a tiny excuse. In October 2013 my wife gave birth to our first, beautiful baby girl, Ellie. It’s been one of the most incredible journeys I’ve ever been on, and in many ways it has only just begun.

In that time a lot has changed, and I felt it was about time to do something with this stagnating website. So, the blog is back. I’m back. And the 10-year old title of my blog, ‘is this thing on?’ is gone. It’s time to let it go, and simply welcome you to me. Oliver Trenouth.

I realise that blogging is something that people do a lot less of these days, with social media really filling in the gaps nicely. As with my previous spate of blogging, my website is dedicated to those longer, more in-depth ideas, thoughts or discoveries that extend beyond the 140-character limit 🙂

I’ve also found that I’m forever repeating myself, showing people how to do things with their computers and software. So I’ve introduced a set of tutorial pages where I’m going to start downloading all of my knowledge. In time, this website will become the sum total of my experience and intelligence; develop a consciousness of it’s own and begin to take OVER THE WORLD …

… or more likely, it’ll just contain a bunch of tutorials on photography, video and audio. Almost as fun 🙂

So, here I am. I’m afraid there will be one or three baby-related posts, but I’ll keep them adorably cute.
